Just Because: The Buren MinStop

As someone that does not specifically identify as a chronograph fan, I love that this complication strips the function down to a single level of complexity – with which you can time one thing, for less than one hour, with a resolution of roughly one minute. Matched with a cushion case, a gold dial, and makers and hands with black accents, you have a watch that would have been pretty without the minute counter but feels far more special due to its inclusion. With no traditional subdial, nor a date to clutter up the dial balance, both of the MinStop’s main functions – that is, time and the minute counter – are presented with minimal interference and considerable clarity. Also, with such a large aperture, it’s really fun to depress the pusher (which doesn’t click) and see that big disc spin back to zero.
